The Emboss Resist technique brings to life your embossed images by adding some colour. This can be done by either sponging or adding a watercolour wash.
Supplies that you will need: stamped image, Versamark ink, clear embossing powder, heat tool, sponges, water painters, ink, and cardstock.
Step by Step Instructions
- Ink up your stamp with Versamark ink and stamp onto your cardstock.
- Cover with clear embossing powder and heat emboss.
- Now you can add your colour over the embossed images either by sponging OR by adding a watercolour wash.
- Once you have added your colour, buff off any excess ink from the embossed images.
- Now you can finish your card with embellishments and sentiments.
Variations for this technique
- Add a stamped image before or after you heat emboss.
- Stamping an image before you heat emboss will make it appear to be in to foreground of your finished piece.
- Stamping an image after you heat emboss will make the stamped image appear in the background of your finished piece. Like the finished card below.
