Freshly Brewed Projects: Ways with Shapes

The inspiration for this Freshly Brewed Project is ….

Ways with Shapes

There are so many way to incorporate shapes into your projects. The first thing that came to mind was all the layering shaped dies that we have. I recently purchased the Stitched Triangle Dies and had not used them. This is the perfect opportunity to do so. I had lots of fun creating with them I hope you get some inspiration from what I have to share with you today.

For this card I used Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder to emboss the background on Very Vanilla Card as well as the 3 triangles cut out from the Red & Green Foil Sheets. I also cut out two triangles and the triangle banner from Gold Foil Sheets to create the tree star and decoration. I also Gold embossed the sentiment from Itty Bitty Christmas and embellished with ribbon from All the Trimmings Ribbon Combo Pack. To finish my card I attached it to a Real Red card mat then onto a Very Vanilla card base.

To make this card I used the Artistry Blooms DSP and cut out 3 medium triangles and the straight line of small triangles die to make the kite. I then cut strips of Sliver Foil Sheet to form the cross bars. I used the twine from the Flowers For Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack for the kite tail and added the small triangles to create the bows. Using a die cut scalloped oval I sponged the cloud background. And to finish my card I layered Misty Moonlight, Seaside Spray and Whisper white Card and stamped a sentiment from Happiest of Birthdays Stamp set.

Now let’s go hopping …
