The inspiration for this Freshly Brewed Project is ….
Retiring In Colours
With the new 2020-2021 annual catalogue about to go live we need to say goodbye to the 2018-2020 In Colours before we introduce 5 new on trend colours. We are saying goodbye to Lovely Lipstick, Call me Clover, Pineapple Punch, Grapefruit Grove and Blueberry Bushel.
I have to admit it took me a while to warm up to this group of colours as I do not go straight for the bright and bold colour pallets. I know that there are going to be a few people that will miss them. But I love a challenge and have had fun coming up with some ideas and inspiration using these colours. My favourite colour of them all is Blueberry Bushel.
My first set of cards I made to send out to my siblings during this time of social isolation. So I wanted them to be bright and cheerful. I also used the Share Sunshine PDF Download by Stampin’ Up! that I purchased.
- Starting with a piece of card stock in each of the colours emboss each with a different embossing folder than cut into 1/2inch strips.
- Taking a piece of black card stock 10cm x 14.4cm start to create a pattern before adhering it down, when happy adher permanently.
- Next cut off any over hanging pieces and adhere to the card base, I chose a black card base.
- Now all you need to do is stamp your sentiment and embellish as you wish.
For the next two cards I again used all of the 5 colours to create simple stamped cards.
I’m not sure about you but I have been doing a little extra cooking and baking over this time, as well as sending out a few care packages. So I am needing a few gift tags. This last project uses a range of coordinating products in each of the colours to create these gift tags. I also used the So Sentimental Bundle plus the Delightful Tags Topper and the Banner Triple Punch.
I hope you have found some inspiration with these project. Remember these In Colours are retiring and you will need to purchase them now before they run out.
